David Remnick has been editor of The New Yorker since 1998 and a staff writer since 1992. After analyzing some of his articles, I noticed that a lot of his publications surrounded social and world issues, including reporting from Russia, the Middle East, and Europe, and Profiles of Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Katharine Graham, Mike Tyson, Ralph Ellison, Philip Roth, and Benjamin Netanyahu.Remnick has written six books: “Lenin’s Tomb,” "King of the World",(a biography of Muhammad Ali), (a biography of Barack Obama), and “The Devil Problem” and “Reporting,” which are collections of some of his pieces from the magazine. His articles are usually current event based and directly after breaking news. His tone is forthright and reverent and usually appeals to audiences interested in serious social issues or worldly issues. The purpose of his writings are to inform the public on the happenings around the world and in our country.
